Tennis legend Novak Djokovic recently made a quick trip to Greece, sparking speculation that he may be considering a permanent move to the country in the coming years and is reportedly looking for a school for his two children.

As he nears the end of a storied career, having won more Grand Slams than any other male tennis player, it’s natural for Djokovic to contemplate his future, and Greece appears to be a significant consideration. The Serbian superstar has visited Greece numerous times and has openly expressed his affection for the country and its people. However, his latest visit suggests more than just a vacation.

According to a video from Gazzetta.gr, Djokovic was seen in the Kifissia area, reportedly visiting local educational institutions for his children, indicating a potential imminent relocation to Greece. The tennis legend has two children: a son named Stefan and a daughter named Tara. His wife is Jelena Djokovic.

Novak Djokovic’s love for Greece

Several sources (including TikTok videos and news articles) mention his public expressions of love for Greece and the Greek people, often referencing his “Orthodox brothers” connection due to shared Orthodox Christian faith. One TikTok video even shows him dancing Greek dances, with comments from Greek users expressing their love for him.

He has publicly thanked former Greek officer Marinos Ritsoudis for refusing to participate in the NATO bombing of Yugoslavia in 1999, further solidifying a connection and appreciation for Greek individuals and their actions.
