Tennis legend Novak Djokovic was reportedly seen out in Athens dining with the Greek Prime Minister, Kyriakos Mitsotakis.
The two men were spotted at a restaurant without their wives.
The news come days after rumours broke out that the Serbian tennis star is looking to permanently relocate with his family to the Greek capital.
A video from Gazzetta.gr earlier this week showed Djokovic in the upscale suburban area of Kifissia, north Athens, reputedly visiting local educational institutions for his two children, Stefan and Tara.
The dinner with the Greek Prime Minister took place on Friday evening, at a high-end seafood restaurant in Kolonaki, central Athens, an area prefered by politicians thanks to its proximity to the Hellenic Parliament.
As he nears the end of a legendary career, having won more Grand Slams than any other male tennis player, Djokovic is starting to contemplate his future, and Greece appears to be a significant consideration – especially since an alleged fallout with the Serbian government after he showed his support to the students’ movement that broke out in his home country last winter.
The Serbian superstar has visited Greece numerous times and has openly expressed his affection for the country and its people. A recent Tik Tok video showed Nole, as fans like to call him, dance to the famous Zorba syrtaki tune while training on the treadmill.
However, Djokovic’s latest visit to Athens, including his high profile dinner with the Greek leader, suggests more than just a vacation.

Djokovic’s move to Greece could be facilitated by the country’s Golden Visa program, introduced in 2017. It offers non-European Union citizens the opportunity to obtain permanent residency in Greece through investment, primarily in real estate, with a minimum investment of €250,000.
The program grants a 5-year renewable residence permit and allows for the inclusion of family members in the application, including spouses, children under 24, and the parents of both spouses.
While the rumours remain to be confirmed, Nole’s Greek fans are hoping to see him relocate to Athens.
Novak Djokovic has established himself as one of the greatest tennis players of all time.
His career is marked by an unparalleled list of achievements, including a record 24 Grand Slam men’s singles titles, a testament to his dominance across all surfaces, and he is expected to compete for his 25th before retiring from action.
Djokovic also holds the record for the most weeks as world No. 1, with an astonishing 428 weeks, and has finished as the year-end No. 1 a record of eight times. In addition, he is the only man to achieve a “Career Golden Masters,” winning all nine ATP Masters 1000 tournaments, a feat he has accomplished twice.
The Serbian’s collection of 100 singles titles, including seven ATP Finals wins, further solidifies his place in tennis history, while another significant milestone was winning an Olympic gold medal in singles at the 2024 Paris Olympics, completing a career “Golden Slam.”
In 2007, Djokovic founded the Novak Djokovic Foundation with a mission to help children from disadvantaged communities grow up and develop in stimulating and safe environments. The foundation has established at least fifty schools in Serbia, as well as supported more than 20,800 children and over a thousand families.
