Eurovision 2025: How Each Country Voted for Greece’s Klavdia

Greece celebrated its best Eurovision finish in over a decade, with Klavdia’s mesmerizing performance of “Asteromata” earning a well-deserved 6th place at the 69th edition of the contest.

The emotionally resonant song, addressing the theme of displacement, was brought to life by the exceptional vocal talent of the 22-year-old Klavdia, captivating both professional juries and the enthusiastic televoting public.

How Greece’s Klavdia was voted in the Eurovision

The juries placed Greece 8th overall, awarding a total of 105 points. Four countries gave it a 12. Specifically, it received:

12 points from: Montenegro, Australia, Israel, Cyprus.
10 points from Malta.
8 points from France.
6 points from Albania, Germany, Albania.
5 points from Georgia.
4 points from Croatia, Poland.
3 points from Ireland, Finland.
1 point from Portugal, United Kingdom.

The public televote showed even greater appreciation, awarding “Asteromata” 126 points and securing Greece a higher ranking. Specifically it received:

12 points from Albania, Cyprus, San Marino.
10 points from Germany, Luxembourg.
8 points from Armenia, Serbia.
7 points from Israel, Australia, Rest of the World.
6 points from Belgium.
5 points from the Netherlands.
4 points from France, Montenegro.
3 points from Sweden.
2 points from Italy, United Kingdom.

Greece’s journey in the competition saw them qualify impressively from the semi-final in 4th place with 112 points, boosted by 12 points from Armenia and 10 points each from Germany and Luxembourg.

Klavdia: “This 6th place felt like a true victory to me.”

Klavdia received a triumphant welcome at the Athens International Airport on Sunday night upon her return from Basel. Fans, friends, and family gathered at the airport to greet Klavdia and her team, celebrating her powerful performance and charismatic stage presence that captivated audiences across Europe.

“This 6th place felt like a true victory to me,” Klavdia said in her first statements upon arrival. “I had been dreaming of 5th place, and we came so close. I’m incredibly happy and feel like a winner because of all the love and support I received.”

Visibly moved, she continued: “I’m really glad that you’re all so happy. It was unbelievable—we couldn’t believe what we were experiencing. The beginning of the process was a bit stressful, but in the end, we were so satisfied with the result that no matter what had happened, I think we would still feel the same joy.”

Klavdia, whose full name is Klavdia Papadopoulou, is a 22-year-old singer of Pontic descent. She came to be known to the public through the talent show The Voice of Greece, and released her debut single in 2022 with the title Lonely Heart.

She also took a moment to acknowledge the Pontian Genocide Remembrance Day on May 19, showing her awareness of the occasion: “I don’t know how things aligned like this… Tomorrow is a very heavy day for all of us, for the Pontian Greeks.”
