Greek American Lucas Loucopoulos will be honored with the prestigious Philotimo Award at the 34th Annual Hermes Expo Awards Dinner Gala, taking place on June 25, 2025, at the Grand Marquis in Old Bridge, New Jersey.
This award recognizes outstanding individuals who exemplify dedication, integrity, and a deep commitment to the Greek-American community.
Born in New Jersey to Greek parents, Loucopoulos was instilled from a young age with a profound sense of pride in his Greek culture and heritage. Deeply rooted in the Orthodox faith, he attended Greek School and has maintained his identity as a proud Greek-American throughout his life.
A highly accomplished professional, Loucopoulos holds a degree in Chemistry from Rutgers University and an MBA in Corporate Finance from Fairleigh Dickinson University. He currently serves as Vice President and CFO of Raceway Petroleum, Inc., where he has dedicated over 30 years to the company’s growth and success.
Loucopoulos’ commitment to his community extends far beyond his professional accomplishments. As a devoted member of the Greek Orthodox Church, he has served as a Parish Council Member for over 25 years, holding various executive positions at both St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church in Union and Kimisis Tis Theotokou Greek Orthodox Church in Holmdel.
Additionally, he has played a pivotal role as Chairman and Co-Chairman of the Greek Festivals at both communities, celebrating and preserving Greek heritage and culture.
A lifelong member of AHEPA for more than 40 years, Loucopoulos values the organization’s mission to promote Hellenism and philanthropy. His dedication to supporting the community, the Church, and various causes dear to his heart is unwavering.
Loucopoulos attributes much of his success and passion to his supportive family, who have always stood by his side and shared his commitment to community service.
