Global hospitality leader Hilton announced Thursday the opening of two new resorts in Greece, marking a significant expansion in the country.

The new properties, located on Mykonos and Karpathos islands, are slated to open over the next two years under new franchise agreements.

On Mykonos, the Hilton Mykonos Beach Resort & Spa will be situated on the island’s famed Super Paradise Beach, under a franchise agreement with Vasileios Lamprou Ksenodochiakes Epichiriseis S.A.

Scheduled to open in 2026, the 75-room resort will offer elegantly designed rooms and suites with private verandas or balconies, 34 of which include private pools.

On-site amenities will include two restaurants, two bars, indoor and outdoor pools, a fashion boutique, a spa with four treatment rooms, a hammam, a sauna, a fully equipped gym, and meeting facilities for both business and social events.

Conveniently located just 12.8 km from Mykonos International Airport and 4 km from Mykonos town, the resort is well-positioned for international visitors.

This development marks Hilton’s second hotel on Mykonos, following the 2024 debut of the Semeli Coast Mykonos Resort, Curio Collection by Hilton.

The new Hilton Mykonos resort is part of a broader strategy to expand the company’s resort portfolio in key Mediterranean destinations, including Greece, Portugal, and Croatia.

In addition to the Mykonos project, Hilton has also announced the Sound of the Sea Karpathos, Tapestry Collection by Hilton, set to open in spring 2025.

Located on the quieter island of Karpathos, this boutique adults-only resort will offer a more intimate, authentic island experience. Under a franchise agreement with CHC Hotels, the resort will feature 43 rooms, including 14 with private pools and six with mini spas.

Guests can enjoy an outdoor pool, a fitness center, a wellness center with three treatment rooms, and locally inspired dining options, including an à la carte Greek organic restaurant and a seafood-focused eatery. The resort is situated just 850 meters from Karpathos’ Pigadia port and 14.3 km from Karpathos Airport.

Hilton’s expansion in Greece reflects the growing demand for premium resort accommodations.

“Demand for high-quality resort accommodations continues to soar globally, with Europe’s iconic Mediterranean destinations top of mind for our 200 million Hilton Honors members,” Alan Mantin, Hilton’s Vice President of Development for Southern Europe, said.

Hilton’s focus on bringing resorts to sought-after destinations has led to significant growth across Europe’s Mediterranean coasts, with the opening of 10 new resorts across Greece, Spain, Italy, Croatia, and Malta in 2024 alone.

In Greece, recent openings include the Numo Ierapetra Beach Resort on Crete, the Domes Aulūs Elounda on Crete, the Semeli Coast Mykonos Resort on Mykonos, the Isla Brown Corinthia Resort & Spa in Agioi Theodoroi and the Isla Brown Chania Resort on Crete.

“As we wrap up an exceptional year for resort openings in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa, we are excited to continue expanding our resort portfolio in 2025 and beyond,” Mantin added.
