Fifty-two Greek-American students who have the potential to become lifelong significant achievers will be awarded scholarships by the PanHellenic Scholarship Foundation at a ceremony and gala slated for Saturday, June 14, 2025 at the Hilton in Chicago, Illinois.

Each year, the event brings together over 750 guests from all around the nation. This year is poised to be another great success. Dedicated to promoting education and leadership, the PanHellenic Scholarship Foundation is a nonprofit organization that recognizes and honors exceptional undergraduate students of Hellenic descent, supporting their efforts with significant monetary awards based on academic merit and financial need.

The weekend will begin on June 13, 2025 with a Welcome Reception hosted at Holland & Knight. The Welcome Reception will provide an opportunity for the scholarship recipients, alumni, Board of Directors, Advisory Board, and Academic Committee Members to get to know one another ahead of the weekend’s events.

On the afternoon of June 14, 2025, over 150 attendees, consisting of current scholarship recipients, PanHellenic Scholarship Alumni, PanHellenic Young Leaders, industry-leading mentors, and young professionals, will attend the 9th Annual Summer Mentorship Luncheon, held in partnership with the Hellenic Initiative.

This luncheon will be an intimate setting for participants allowing them to receive career advice and guidance from 15 mentors who are leaders in their fields, ranging from business, law, and medicine to finance and education among other professions.

The weekend will culminate with the 2025 Awards Ceremony & Gala on Saturday, June 14, 2025 at the Hilton Chicago.

The PanHellenic Scholarship Foundation will recognize 52 exceptional scholarship recipients of Hellenic descent and award over $270,000 in scholarships. During the event, they will be honoring their 2025 Paradigm Award recipients, Cia & Tom Souleles, the executive producers of Echoes of the Past.

How does the PanHellenic Scholarship Foundation select recipients?

Selecting 52 students for the scholarship from hundreds of applications is a difficult process, Ted Argeroplos, the director of the PanHellenic Scholarship Foundation, recently told Greek Reporter.

“The first 40-45 students are equally as good as the next 40-45 kids,” he admitted. “The competition is ridiculous. All kids are amazing. They are great achievers, [and] they are among the best in their school.”

Argeroplos said that the academic committee, comprised of professors from across the country, is involved in a painful procedure. “They want to give scholarships to everyone,” he said.

For the first time ever, the Foundation will also be honoring a previous scholarship recipient with its inaugural Alumni Excellence Award. This year’s award will be given to Katerina Glyptis, a 2010 scholarship alumni and current President of Tim Hortons US.

The 2025 Awards Ceremony & Gala will be emceed by NBC 5 Chicago Reporter Lexi Sutter, and the night will conclude with a dinner, dance, and live entertainment provided by the Mylos Band of New York.

Tickets to this year’s Gala can be purchased on the PanHellenic Scholarship Foundation’s website, at www.panhellenicsf.org/2025-awards-ceremony-and-gala.
